Self-Care for Extremely Busy Women

May 26, 2020

What does it take to weather, say, a pandemic with true strength and resiliency? My guest Cheryl Jones is a grief expert, and a therapist specializing in helping people weather loss. I know you’ll find her story as inspiring as I did.

But first, I share my thoughts about how to navigate those hellish moments when you feel super charged with anger. They happen to all of us—perhaps even more often when we’re weathering quarantine with lots of others. Including kids. Below you’ll find a link to the essay on my blog I read from.

Cheryl Jones is a wise, grounded woman who just makes you feel reassured about life. And I love her message of resiliency. Correctly, she has identified one of the predominant emotions we’re all weathering right now: global grief. Here’s what else I learned:

  • Tips for navigating all kinds of grief
  • Dealing with our own ‘survivor guilt’ if we don’t get COVID-19 or lose our job
  • The importance of gratitude … even now
  • Signs you might be grieving
  • How to identify where you’re struggling, and how to cope
  • The difference between grief and depression
  • How to use our grief to heal ourselves … and transform our lives

It’s a great show. Enjoy!
