Whether you’re talking about love or work, there is always a constant – relationships. Sometimes we can’t live with ’em, AND we really can’t live without ’em. Really, it all boils down to us, for we are the one big constant in all of this relating … right?

I begin with a humbling tale of my own self-discovery on a Sunday at Berkeley Bowl, one of the more popular and crowded grocery stores here in the Bay Area. A meltdown led to a breakthrough in how I communicated my needs, and the assumptions I jumped to. Not proud of this … but I learned a lot, so I thought I’d share.
