Self-Care for Extremely Busy Women

Oct 11, 2022

These are perilous times, friend. That is why I decided to do a show on doomscrolling—something I’ve been guilty of myself. That’s the uncontrollable urge to dive into terrible news in social media and mainstream media constantly.

So I begin with an apropos experience I had five years ago, when I went to a remote island for ten days and had no screens with me. None! It was an extraordinary break and the effects lasted a good long while.

Since then, though, the world has become a much more perilous place. So I’m now suggesting a more workable solution for all of us. That would be the ‘Media Cleanse’. This is a two or three day process YOU design for yourself.

In this episode I cover:

  • Why the media is so addictive
  • What doomscrolling does to our bodies and brains
  • What happens when you click on a story for the media… and you
  • How to set up a media cleanse
  • Useful apps that will set you free
  • The long term benefits you can see

May this inspire you to let go… in peace and serenity. And so rise up to empower yourself to take action where you can.

In peace,

Suzanne
