I begin this episode by reading my essay, “A Word About Feasting on Stress” from my book, Surrendering to Joy. [LINK] I get into the nitty gritty of what drives our national addiction to stress – and how to work our way out of it.
Really, so much of self-care is ultimately about letting go and surrendering to those parts of us that have needs … big needs. When I’ve asked readers the main reason they don’t make time for self-care, their answers vary – but in the top 3 is always, ‘I don’t have time’.
And yet you do, argues author and time management expert Elizabeth Grace Saunders. She says the secret is to make time work for you … not the other way around. That is how we can get a grip 0n our harried lives.
As extremely busy women, we tend to forget about that … and instead become slaves to our frantic schedules. Elizabeth shares some techniques and ideas in this episode.
Enjoy!
